Formed in early 2007, Ludicrous Theatre Company has been dedicated to bringing quality and intriguing theatre to Chicago. We believe that our primary purpose is to entertain. Our secondary purpose is to inform. Ludicrous Theatre Company seeks to explore the richness and joy of human existence, with particular attention paid to sexuality and gender identity.

Wayne Shaw, Executive and Artistic Director
Wayne is a graduate of the University of Illinois at Chicago with a degree
in Directing and Design. Wayne has served many roles in theatre companies
around the United States including Business Manager of Phoenix Childrens
Theatre and Founding Director of DeVry University Theatre Group.
Waynes professional credits include featured actor for Salmon River
Playhouse in Salmon Idaho, Director of Vampire Lesbians of Sodom, Theodora
She Bitch of Byzantium, and Radio TBS.
Wayne was also locally known as the director for Southern Baptist Sissies,
presented at UIC during the Pride Festival of 2006.
University Credits include the role of Roy Cohn in Angels In America, and
director of Frankenstein In Love and Out for the Count.

Sarah Camargo, Founding Company Member
A founding member of Ludicrous Theatre Company, Sarah also serves as the Resident Choreographer. Recently Sarah has been seen in Theodora She-Bitch of Byzantium (Aunt Vulva/Choreographer), Pirates of Penzance (Daughter) and Frankenstein In Love (Maria Reina Duran). Some of her favorite roles have included Peter in Jesus Christ Superstar, Jenny in The Shape of Things, and Judge Mother Goose in True Confessions of the Wolf. Sarah expects to graduate from the University of Illinois at Chicago with a B.A. in Performance in the spring of 2008. Sarah is also an Equity Membership Candidate with the AEA. |

Fred Uebele, Technical Director
Fred recently graduated with a B.A. in Theatre-Acting and Theatre-Directing/Design from University of Illinois-Chicago. Collegiate acting credits include: Angels in America (Prior), King Lear (Lear), The Three Sisters (Chebutykin), The Cripple of Inishmaan (JohnyPateenMike), The Prisoner's Dilemma (Nikolai Shubkin), and Blithe Spirit (Charles Condomine). Set Design credits include: King Lear, The Foreigner, Urinetown, and Featuring Loretta with UIC and The Diviners with St. Ignatius Preparatory H.S. Lighting Design credits include: The Foreigner, Thunderbird, and Spunk! with UIC. He has directed/set designed/lighting designed 2 shows: Skyscraper with UIC, and The Underpants with Ludicrous Theatre Company. Fred is also a builder/electrician with Black Ensemble Theatre and stage manager/crew person with Civic Ballet of Chicago. |

Mark Balej, Treasurer
Mark came to the company through his partner Wayne Shaw. Mark is an inventory accountant and a mathmatical genius! Mark loves theatre and loves juggling the difficult money management duties of a theatre company. |

Megan Hatfield, Founding Member
Megan is a graduate from University of Illinois at Chicago with a BFA in Theatre Performance. She brings an extensive performance background to the company, as well as makeup and costuming. In addition, Megan has been involved with children's theatre around the area as a director and instructor. Megan has also graduated from Tricoci University of Beauty Culture and is now in an intense training program at Art and Science Salon to become a stylist there. |
